On June 2, BMO officially launched Blue Rewards, opening the next chapter for one of the most recognized rewards programs in the country. Built on the AIR MILES foundation that has served millions of Canadians for more than three decades, Blue Rewards brings together over 400 brands and a simpler, more flexible way for members to earn and redeem. We could not be more excited to see it come to life.
A launch worth celebrating
Blue Rewards arrives with real momentum. Longtime favourites sit alongside new partners like Porter Airlines, Instacart, and Accor hotels, with more on the way through the year. Members move to a single, easy-to-understand points currency, gain a new travel redemption experience, and get a fresh lineup of Mastercards and a rewards chequing account. It is a bold, confident step forward, and the team should be proud.
Built around how Canadians actually live
What stands out most is the focus on everyday value. Grocery delivery and quick-service restaurants sit next to airlines and hotels, which means members can earn and redeem in the moments that matter most to them, not just on the occasional big purchase. That balance of everyday and aspirational rewards is what keeps a program meaningful, and it is great to see it placed at the centre of the experience.
