Olive wood qualities: Very durable wood, high overall density, straight grain with a fine texture that makes each piece unique and resists odors and stains. Wax finish: A waxed finish to keep the products authenticity, obtained by impregnating a mixture mainly consisting of bees-wax and mineral oils. Wood maintenance: To prevent the wood from drying out, regularly apply food-safe mineral oil or beeswax. Please store in temperate conditions. Wood can warp or crack if exposed to extreme temperatures and humidity. Bérard advises to clean product by rinsing with warm water and drying vertically. Never soak in water. Use of detergent is not recommended. Do not clean in dishwasher; this may cause the wood to crack or break. These suggestions will help to keep product in good conditions for many years of enjoyment.
